El Aston Martin Vantage V12 es un deportivo biplaza de tracción posterior y motor V12 de 6,0 litros y 517 CV —el mismo que lleva el DBS. A mediados de 2009 se puso a la venta en versión cupé (V12 Vantage Coupe) y en verano de 2012 aparece la versión descapotable (V12 Vantage Roadster). Se producirán 1000 unidades de ambas carrocerías. El precio en España del cupé es 203 473 € y del descapotable 217 113 €.
Más allá de la capota de lona, el V12 Vantage Roadster tiene algunos elementos estéticos y mecánicos que lo diferencian del Coupe. Entre los primeros cabe destacar la posición más baja de la toma de aire delantera y el aumento de tamaño del alerón de la tapa del maletero. Entre los segundos, hay una nueva configuración de la suspensión trasera, así con unos muelles de diferente diseño para el citado eje.
El V12 Vantage es una alternativa a modelos como el Corvette Z06, el Audi R8 o el Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Coupé. Alcanza 305 km/h de velocidad máxima y acelera de 0 a 100 km/h en 4,2 s (4,5 s el descapotable). Es más lento y tiene una velocidad punta menor que todos ellos (ficha comparativa).
El Aston Martin V12 Vantage consume de media 16,4 l/100km. Entre los biplaza cupé con motor de más de 500 CV, únicamente gasta más combustible el Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 con 17,2 l/100 km, que es mucho más rápido y potente. El Audi R8 5.2 FSI V10, el Corvette Z06 y el Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Coupé consumen entre 13,7 y 14,7 l/100 km (listado).
