El Ferrari 458 Italia sigue pisando fuerte y ha ganado ya más de 30 premios internacionales en su corta carrera. Ayer, añadió dos nuevos reconocimientos a su colección en los International Engine of the Year Awards (Premios Motor Internacional del Año), cuando su motor V8 fue votado como “Best Performance Engine” (Motor con Mejores Prestaciones) y “Best Engine Above 4 Litres” (Mejor Motor de más de 4 Litros).

También se han hecho avances excepcionales en lo referente a consumo de combustible y emisiones, con una disminución en ambos casos del 30%, para quedar en una media de 15 l/100 km y 350 g/km de CO2, respectivamente, lo que hace del F12berlinetta una referencia en su segmento. Su distancia entre ejes también se ha acortado, el motor y el asiento del conductor se han colocado en una posición más baja y la trasera es más compacta, gracias a la nueva suspensión y al esquema de la caja de cambios. En definitiva, es un coche más corto, más bajo y más estrecho que el anterior coupé V12. El reparto de peso también es ideal (54% detrás), mientras que el centro de gravedad se ha bajado y movido hacia la parte posterior del chasis.
